In May 2005, A4T opened the doors, the 4Gamers brand was re-launched and the first license agreement to work with Nintendo on their official DS Cases was signed.
In December 2005, we secured the rights to bring the iconic Simpsons characters to life across a range of videogame accessories, including PS2 controllers, PSP Cases & Nintendo DS Cases through a licensing agreement entered into with 20th Century Fox.
In 2006, A4T developed a range of PSP and Multi-format Speakers in partnership with the major British audio brand – TANNOY.
A4T continued to develop the Simpsons range, obtaining Silver in the Homey License of the Year award from 20th Century Fox, at the Las Vegas Licensing show.
2008 was a memorable year for us in the licensed character and videogame accessories arenas. New licenses included:
Dora the Explorer & Go Diego Go DS Accessories – Nickelodeon
Wii Speaker Systems – Nintendo
Rock Band Accessories – B D & A
EA Active Videogame Fitness Accessories – EA Sports
Finally, 2008 saw A4T secure the first European PlayStation accessory license. This new license enabled A4T to develop and produce officially licensed protective cases and starter packs for the PSP system under our established 4Gamers brand.
A4T continued to develop our range of licensed character accessories in the videogame industry with additional licensed partnerships, including;
Bakugan DS and Wii Accessories – Cartoon Network
I-Carly DS accessories – Nickelodeon
A4T’s partnership with Sony PlayStation also progressed. we were granted the first ever peripheral license from Sony to develop a charging cable for PS3.
We expanded our Nickelodeon character license portfolio with the addition of Spongebob Square Pants to their growing range of DS Accessories.
Furthermore, following on from our previous success with the PlayStation range, A4T was granted additional license opportunities to develop PlayStation’s first range of licensed headsets for use with the PS3 system.
By 2011, A4T’s licensed PlayStation accessories were already available in UK Retail and across European territories. Having demonstrated clear understanding of the PlayStation values, we successfully negotiated extensions to our licenses to include the Japanese and Asia regions.
Later in the year, A4T embarked on a new partnership with Capcom to develop a specific PS3 headset for Resident Evil Operation Racoon City.
A4T’s ever-growing range of Officially Licensed PlayStation Accessories, under the 4Gamers brand, continued to expand when licenses were granted for the largest range of PS4 accessories and peripherals in Europe which launched alongside the next-gen system release in November 2013.
A4T entered into a new partnership with Popcap to license videogame, mobile and tablet accessories for the mobile App: Plants Vs Zombies in 2013 before launching a comprehensive range to support the publication of the videogame in February 2014.
A4T signed the first deal with Warner Brothers in early 2015 to develop licensed videogame and mobile accessories for the highly anticipated Batman: Arkham Knight videogame.
We have also expanded our range of Mobile and Tablet Accessories by entering into a new licensed partnership with Laura Ashley.
